Foreign LanguagesWe offer each student a daily opportunity to become familiar with a foreign language. Children in grades K-3 have classes in play-based spoken French and French culture with a native speaker. Upper school students participate in the Rosetta Stone immersion program, which emphasizes speaking and grammar. They may chose to study language from a list of over twenty options. Research indicates that language lab programs like Rosetta Stone are generally more effective in teaching inherent grammar structure than explicit classroom instruction. Our language lab program is customizable, allowing for individualized progress and pacing.
